SELINA REE
Selina Ree is a working Mama, she loves coffee, nature, writing and being a creator. Singing and vocal performance are her life’s work. She is a passionate voice teacher who loves empowering people to express themselves through sound in a body based pedagogy. She has been teaching private voice lessons, group voice lessons, choral directing and directing barbershop for 14 years. Her students are currently working on all kinds of things. Some include; competitions, performing, preparing for auditions, musicals, record deals, social media platforms, preparing for RCM exams or just enjoying the pleasure of singing. She started studying voice at the young age of 7 with Velma Cook and under the direction of Elise Bedard graduated with a B. Mus Vocal Performance at McMaster University. Shortly after graduating university, along with private lessons, she started directing two competitive Barbershop Chorus’s Harmony North Chorus and Barrie Soundwaves with Sweet Adelines International. Her time spent with these two barbershop groups fostered her love for A Capella music and 4 part harmony. Now her time is spent teaching private voice lessons, directing Harmony North Chorus, launching and co-directing a new comprehensive vocal performance training program called SingClub with Amanda Bryce and filling her own creative bucket.
